New to the smartphone arena here. I've been searching around on the website but can't seem to find the right info on flashing the 700w i have to wm6. Can someone point me in the right direction?
thanks

Do you have the 700W or WX? Palm released the WM6 update for the WX back in Sept.
http://www.palm.com/us/support/downl...eo700wxverizon Also check the stickies at the top of this forum. I'm not sure if you can update the 700W, due to it's memory issues. More learned minds may know.

It's the 700w not the wx.

If I'm not mistaken, the 700w has a palm OS, where the wx has wm6. For you answer, No you can't do an update. I hope this answer your question.

The 700W is WM based, hence the W or WX designator. You're thinking of the 700P, which is Palm OS based

Yes you can flash a 700 "W" to wm6, Ive done it myself. You have to use a sprint rom in order to do it howeer. I forget where exatly I found the actual rom but I will find it for you just give me a few days, it will probably be less than that however.

and also the 700W is a windows based phone, originally with wm5, the 700wx is no different, it just has 128mb of memory instead of the 64mb that comes with the 700w
