Bluetooth Reverse DUN

So a friend of mine at Future Shop has successfully done bluetooth reverse DUN (using the internet connection from the PC on the treo via bluetooth) on his 700wx in both windows xp and vista. we were trying to setup my phone to do the same. I have the phone syncing with windows mobile device center, so i know the bluetooth connection to the computer works. here is what I did, and where i ran into an issue.
1. opened windows mobile device center (or sync center... or active sync)
2. on the treo went to settings > connections > Connections
3. selected "add new modem connection" option
4. selected Bluetooth as the modem
5. clicked on "new partnership"
6. waited for the treo to find my computer
7. selected the device to connect to (VistaLappy in my case)
8. made sure the "activesync" service was selected
9. clicked finish
this is where i run into problems
after i click finish it goes back to the screen where it wants me to select a device to use (step 5)
I can go through this process as many times as i want, and i get the same result. same with my friend at f-shop. exact same result.
any idea why this is happening? what i can do? or if anyone has made this work, how to do so?
Thanks!
Charlie
