While on *2 Call going directly to VM
Today I have realized that when I was talking to Sprint CS (actually I was still waiting to get my call connected to CS rep.) my friend was trying to call me and it was directly going to my voicemail and I was not getting call. Then later again I dialed *2 and tried to call from my landline but same problem. Is it normal?

I have not really testes it, but I wouldn't be surprised since PRL updates are done via calling *2, the phone probably has no idea exactly what you are doing while connected to *2 so it takes the safe route to VM so no download gets interrupted. Probably the same principle behind the phone's radio resetting after hanging up with *2 regardless of who you called on CS.
This is all speculation though... |
Sprint does this also so there are not interruptions during communications. another time this happens is on 411.

I talked to CSR and he told me that Sprint does not want to interrupt the call while talking with CS, but I find it very odd. :(
