[Help for Custom ROMs] Need Verizon 700w Updater Package.
 

So Im looking into making custom ROMs for the Treos. It can be done, we just dont have a way as of now to flash them. Could a Verizon user that has the Treo 700W please download the updater installer from the Palm site and upload it to the ftp?

I hope not too, all I need is a serial number or the package which I've looked up and down for. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just got a PM with a good serial number and Im downloading the updater now. Thanks for all the help tho guys. Now to see what I can do.

just fyi I haven't had any luck with flashing the customer ROMs yet. palms method is strange and weird....for some reason their ROMs appear to be in .ruu format. :? Still playing around...haven't given up yet. ;)

Palm is all over the place with their updates. Some of them only update their end of the software, others firmware, others both. I have, at home, a firmware only update and a software only update from Palm. If you would like me to email you both PM me your email addy Mike (they're both for the 750 though)
