how to disable auto connect to web

After set my 700wx to new domain for faster web surfing as Malatesta suggested in here somewhere, now my phone keep connected to the web on it own. How do you disable that because it drained the battery so fast, before i had to tap on IE to connect.

Thanks

Do you have a weather app or maybe some kind of push mail software that tries to connect to the internet?

Do you have it set to check itself every so often? The device will connect itself to the internet to check for POP3 account.

Also, check the options for Spb Weather as it may be the culprit behind this.

Both these things usually connect themselves to internet to stay updated.

Even after you use PIE for the first time it will connect to the net and stay connected, the battery getting drained it's probably happening becuase you have the POP3 account to check itself every 10 mins. or the same with Spb Weather.

The device doesn't get drained more quickly just because the EVDO arrows are greyed out, only when there's data transfer (EVDO arrows solid white) is that the battery is getting drained.

I would check the POP account settings as Pibe suggested. Sbp weather only connects for data updates when there's an internet connection already established. It will not establish it automatically.
