is their any freeware that can enable me to choose what software to run during startup.

i believe that memmaid will do it, it's not freeware, but i don't think there is any freeware that will do that

Or you can place a copy of the "program.lnk" found in the program menu in the Windows/Start Up folder. :)

I've been meaning to ask... and this topic is right on topic...

I actually did that, pasted a .ink shortcut for kBattery in the startup folder, and everytime the shortcut runs at startup it gets deleted afterwards... WTF?

Not sure why it would delete. :? May be a copy of the exe or the exe file it self may work.
