700wx today screen slow

My today screen seems to refresh slowly. When I activate the look up field my picture dial and schedule move down in the back ground slowly. When I return to the today screen from other apps the icons blink and seem to shift into position. Is this normal? I dont remember this happening on my first phone.

Press and hold the red end button and that'll bring up a screen that shows you what programs are still running in the background. Select "stop all" and see if this doesn't speed things up a bit.

Additionally if you have a lot of items on your today screen that might just slow things down a bit too. Especially if you have something like a picture or Today Agenda which sometimes needs to refresh it's entire plug-in.

Thanks for the input. I have tried these things as well as a soft reset. All of my other programs and apps run smoothly its just the today screen. I was thinking of a hard reset because its new with very little to lose. If I do a hard reset will the programs that were installed from the "factory" still be there? (i.e. goodlink, games, active sync and the like)

Yes...it'll be just as it was when you pulled it out of the box and fired it up for the first time.

Can you explain how to do a hard reset, I think sprint calls it a wipe and reboot?

You may need to copy-paste due to the nature of the link.

Same with WP, it's a price worth paying though. This is why I ended up removing WA2 from my device, I wanted to regain some loading speed and responsiveness back.
