TREO 700wx Sprint - Cant Stop Vision Services message.

I Go Start -Settings -Connection - My ISP
I created my own IPS profile Phone number, user name and password.

I want to Dial up to then directly not via Vision Services and no 3G.

It says :

Your phone must be configured for Vision Services. This process will take a few minutes.
Would you like to do this? NOW or Later
On the top it says: Preparing Vision Services
If I hit Later the process stops and if I hit now (Dead end)

How Can I stop this nagging message and Dial up (not 3G) to whom ever I what.

Thanks in advance.

I have a 700wx from Sprint.

Thanks for the info, but I do still want to give it a try.

Do you know how can I stop that message?

Is there anyway to disable it?

Thanks,

You proably can't since the device is not an analog modem and it's designed to connect to the internet only through the Vision network and because of that the message appears every time.

What I'm thinking you want to do is have your phone dial out to your ISP to connect to the internet, to reduce internet charges. If you connect it to a modem card, then it might be possible, but I still doubt it. Typical analog modems listen for dialtone signal, to know if the line is active or not. Your mobile phone does not offer this. Technically, you will not be able to do it.

You're best option is to buy PDAnet. It allows you to use connect your PC to your Treo to connect to the internet and your provider will not know.
