Official WM6 for 700wx available!

Downloaded and installed on Verizon 700wx. So far, so good. Everything works and no issues found so far. I'm not sure if speed has improved since I had to reinstall everything after the upgrade. The upgrade was painless and took about 20 minutes. The only painful part was that Active Sync saw my Treo as a "new device", it took some work to get the Active Sync name corrected and everything reinstalled.

Well, this finally concludes my curiousity whether or not if VZW will adopt the 800w. I haven't heard anything from anyone whom verified the adoption of the vzw 800w. I now must go to the updater to get the wm6 for my 700wx. I'm not curious about what changes that vzw made apposed to the custom wm6 roms prior to the update? Open for your comments.

I was at a conference the week of Sept 2nd and one of the vendors was VZW. I asked if/when the 800W was going to be added to their lineup. The reply was fairly vague. The rep told me IF it was going to be offered, it wouldn't be until the end of this calendar year. He also said VZW was looking at an unnamed device by Motorola w/ WM 6.1, rev A, and biometric identification. Wouldn't say more than that

I knew it, I just knew it. That's why I just laid back and watch the threads about the 800w for vzw. Well, if they aren't coming out with anything until then, I guess it would be to my advantage, because I will get an upgrade doing that time. I just intalled the wm6 update for my 700wx and I noticed that only the start menu moves faster. Conclusively, the media player seems more friendly and the graphics are alot sharper than before. I wonder if others tried the updater and the wm6 rom?
