Is it really bricked?

Help! I failed a 1.14 to 1.15 upgrade on my 700wx and now my radio won't come on. My about screen shows the hardware version, Serial Number but everything else says Unknown. Sprint says they tried to re-flash the firware but couldn't. Also said it had water damage but the phone worked fine until I tried to upgrade. Is it really done? Or is there any way I can re-flash it. ActiveSync works just fine.

Re: Is it really bricked?

Have you tried to reflash it yourself already? Does it fail for you?
Maybe a hard reset?

Re: Is it really bricked?

I've tried to upgrade it to 1.15 serveral times. (I'm not sure if that's a reflash). I've also hard reset it at least a dozen times. I'm hoping there's a way to reload it some how. I've bricked routers before and when I did, you couldn't do anything with them. This phone is functional with the hugh exception that the radio won't work. Are there some binaries out there or maybe a backup file that I can push in? I just don't think that Sprint really tried to fix it. But I don't know that for sure.

Re: Is it really bricked?

Yes... It made it about 80% when it first failed. Now it errors at the same place all the time. It sends the files to the phone, and it fails when it starts to execute. The phone says "backing up nv", then I get an error on the pc that says it failed. I tried to do the upgrade with my 256MB SD card. It starts okay but when I say continue, I get an error saying it's not formatted in FAT32 and it is. Any ideas?

Have you tried the upgrade via the SD card method?

Re: Is it really bricked?

Yes, but after it starts and I click continue, it says the sd card must be formated in FAT32 and it is.

Re: Is it really bricked?

have you tried to re-flash it to the original firmware 1.14 just to see if your radio starts working again?
