Flash player

i have downloaded both the flash player offered from here and directly from macromedia...(of course i realized they were the same), my question is: what the crap does it do? i havent been able to view ANY sites that require flash. is this an installation problem on my part or does it really do nothing? and if, in fact, this does not allow me to view the things i wish, is there a application free or for purchase that one can aquire to be able to view flash sites and media? thanks in advance for the support!

That plugin is for Flash 7, most sites now require Flash 9 and there isn't a mobile version of it.

Netfront is supposed to offer Flash support up to a point, same as the upcoming version of Opera 8.65

That's as far as I know though...
