minitones
 

it took forever to find minitones even though its freeware. when i downloaded it i found out it was a .prc file or something.

anybody have a minitone cab file?

or describe how to install minitones. thanks

If I understand correctly, minitones converts mp3's into ringtones. However, you don't need to convert since the 700wx can play mp3's as ringtones.

EDIT: Just install a mp3 file into Windows/Rings and it'll show up as an available rington.

please forgive me, i have tried this. sent audio clip to treo via usb cable.

played clip, small bar came up i pushed the small phone icon which asks you if you want to set as ringtone. i did. but nothing has changed.

Where did you install the ringtone? What phone do you have?

Usually you need to copy the file to Windows\Rings or Ringtones (I forget which one it is) and then set it when you go to Settings-Sounds and Notifications.
