sprint 700wx and verizon 700w
just wondering what everyone thought. I just traded my 6700 for a 700wx and I must say this thing is awesome. one handed use is the best improvement over the 6700. my question is that my buddy played with mine and decided to go get one from verizon...they sold him the 700w...should he have got the wx with verizon...the rep told him the only difference was that the wx can be used as a modem...do you guys think he should return it for a wx...thanks in advance

The 700wx also has more memory and A2DP (Stereo Bluetooth. Right their IMHO is enough reasons to exchange it. :)

memory
so do I have all of the upgrades if I have a sprint 700wx? like I said I am coming from 6700 land lol. how much more memory would he be gaining if he switches. I looked at palm and verizon and I can't find the original specs for the 700w in comparison to the 700wx.

The memory on the 700wx is almost doubled, it is a HUGE difference. If you have a Sprint WX you do noe have A2DP, however, it has already been hacked so that you can install it.
Read the FAQ sticky on top of the forum for links to generally used applications and hacks, etc. You can find links to all the PDF brochures with specs on this site... http://www.palm.com/us/products/smartphones/treo700w/ |
thanks
thanks I got the cab for a2dp...thanks again...this thing is great...I searched and found the 700wx to be 128mb and 64mb...what is the 700w...

I think the W has 32MB of user accessible memory.

Verizon now has 700wx
Get the 700wx, the 700w sucks. The 700w does not have enough memory to hardly do anything. I would highly recommend the 700wx over the 700w.
