Hey wassup guys, I have no idea whats going on with my Treo and I need help. I mean i need somebody to walk me through a few things to start. As of now I have lost my USB cord so i am trying to do everything through my phone. I plan on getting a memory card next week so i am working with whatever memory is on the phone. Here are some things i need to be walked through.

1. How to open zip files. I have seen threads on it but it seems like everybody who was in my situation has figured it out by using there activesync come. We for me that option is not active so i was wondering how to do it directly through my phone.

2. I want to be able to send the picture mail but of course i wasn't about to participate in that thread because of the simple fact that i cant open .zip files. I guess everything else i want to do revolves around that.

if there is anything else that i can set up and have going for me during this time while i am still gathering my memory cards and usb cords and connecting to my computer please let me know. I am new to the Treo world and lingo so everything has to be explained with good details. I will call this thread TREO FOR DUMMIES.....lol

Go to http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/downloads.asp from your phone and download the cab file, this will give you access to download zip files. Then you can get everything else you need from this website.

First things first, there's a thread on this same topic on this same page. Please make sure you search before starting a new thread, thanks!

Ok, now that you have the CAB on your device you need to locate it with Fille Explorer and execute it (kinda like when you double click an icon on your PC).

This will install Resco Explorer, another File Explorer, that allows you to unzip ZIP files on your device.

but this is what i am saying, when I double click it a message shows and says rescoexploreren_p' is not a valid Pocket PC application

What file did you copy to your device? The .EXE or the .CAB? The .EXE is the desktop installer, so you need to copy the .CAB to your device and run that one.

well its saying that i am new to having a treo, and i want to learn more about it so i can be at the level you guys are on..
all the files i try to download are saying exe. can anybody put a Cad. link
