Increasing Texting Limit

Argh I just switch from the 6700 (Sprint) to 700wx (Sprint) and I have lil complaints so far. The main thing I would like to fix is text messaging. On the 6700 you could type a text message over the 160 character limit and Outlook would just increase: 160, 320, 480, 640....and the text would be sent out in order to the receiver, in however many times you went over, so say I typed a text with 280 character, the recipient would recieve 2 text messages.

On the 700wx, it stops at 160 and its driving me crazy, because I am very long winded lol. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance.

PS: Sorry if this has already been covered. I went back 6 pages and didn't really see anything that talked about this.

Have you tried the SMS hack that was previously posted here? That lets me send over the 160 limit.

thats a lot of reading lol. It also seems thats for threading sms messaging, which isn't something I'm ready to even try to hack my phone to do. I just want to increase my texting over the 160 character limit. Thanks for directing me though!!!

jayroc80, get the file, its just a .cab install it, and use it. it isnt hacking your phone really, its more like installing a new program. just get the file and read the first few posts, thats it.

believe me, it is worth it.

There seems to be a lot of bugs with the program, but I guess I can try it out and do a hard reset if I don't like it.
