Audio notification for email abruptly stops mid-tone

So I started experiencing a strange behavior of my email audio notification (default, not PhoneAlarm). If I don't have a message display on screen for new emails, my tone (Triange.mid) will play, but abruptly stop before it finishes--vibration too. Then when I wake my 700wx, the remainder of the tone (really just a fade-out) plays and it finishes vibrating.

Anyone else experience this? It's really quite strange, and I thought it might have been some old program interfering, so I did a hard reset and it still happens. Weird.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's happening to me. I was thinking it has something to do with a WA2 theme. I'm running that along with Phone alarm. Are you running WA2?

Need to experiment by turning them off one at a time to see.

Nope. Not running WA2 or PhoneAlarm (or pretty much anything that would interfere with notification sounds). I just decided I have to keep the screen notification on to avoid the problem.
