Hello,

I just did an update to my PPC6700 to AKU 3.5 - while it may have a glitch it is a HUGE improvement. Is there an update available for the 700? I know a couple of people on Sprint and a few on Verizon with the 700w.

Nope. Not for the Sprint wx at least.

The only update for the 700wx is the SMS patch that fixed issues with users not being able to send SMS to certain carriers. You need to install it if you have version 1.13, if you have version 1.14 you already have it. This update is a simple CAB file, no ROM update.

The 700w also had an update to include direct push and some enhancements, I don't have a 700w so I don't know much about it, however, you can find info on it here: http://www.palm.com/us/support/downl...r/verizon.html

Thanks - I'm amazed there hasn't been more demand for an update, the 3.x update for the 6700 was a night and day improvement.

There's a lot of demand, user have been screaming for improved applicatons on a ROM. Like finally giving us Threaded SMS and A2DP since now we now it is possible. Also having the SMS patch on ROM would make hard resets much easier.

We just have to wait for Palm to answer that demand. Heck, there's even a demand for WM6 of course.
