Best Way to COMPLETELY wipe the 700w
From experience what is the best way for COMPLETELY wipe a Treo 700w clean. I have just sold it and before I send it out I don't want anything left on it. I have already hard reset it but I have read, and cannot find now, threads either here or on other sites telling of other ways to make sure. If anyone has any suggestions, they are welcome.
Please and Thank you PH |
I read in some post on here that after you hard reset your device that you should then load it up with programs, etc. until the devices memory is completely full. Do another hard reset and then repeat the entire process at least 3 times. This should clear out a lot of stuff.

Palm created THIS utility just to be used in these cases.
It wipes out everything and they recommend using it when sending it for repair, selling it, etc. Hope it helps! |
Go to the highest point you can find and throw it at a high rate of speed at the ground. Claim it under your equipment plan and you've got a new phone free of all that pesky incriminating evidence.
Otherwise Coz's idea sounds pretty reasonable. :occasion5: |
dexter,
Normally I would do that but it would take time and I don't like to keep customers waiting so I settled for the Palm Reset App, which appears to have worked like a charm, there is absolutley as far as my eyes can tell nothing there everything is blanked out, i.e. rom ext rom the only thing that is there is verizon 1.10 everything else is pz'ed out Thanks again guys/gals PH |
