Sprint Treo 700w and business connection

Does anyone know why Sprint says I cant use business connection with this phone. Im moving from a 6700 to a 700 and don't understand why I wouldn't beable to.

Does anyone know if there is a workaround, or a good inexpensive product that would do the same?

Staci

I would call again and ask for their business department if you haven't already. What are you looking for exactly? Push email on a Corporate level? My Treo has GoodLink installed on it, I HATE it... oh well, it pushes exchange that's why it was decided on

If they already have an Exchange server you can just use Activesync and PocketOutlook for push e-mail... I'd give it a try if you hate GoodLink so much

Basically follow the directions here: http://www.ppcgeeks.com/updated-free...,mail2web.html

But use your exchange server info instead of mail2web's.

Ok,

Let me clarify, I don't run a Exchange server. I do run Outlook 2007 and am looking to retrieve and sync emails on my phone as they come into Outlook. My PC is on 24/7 and can be remotely accessed if needed for a restart or maintainance

I also receive emails filtering in from about 7 different email address's and need to be able to reply from that email account

Well I guess emoze which I don't know much about... just read a link someone else posted on the devs forum here.

Or if you they are all POP3 accounts you can just set them up on POutlook. Even though they won't be sync'ed you can receive e-mail and send from the device.

Well Emoze can be setup for Push if you installed their client on your computer and your phone....with the client on my phone it did cause issues and with their slow support I perfered the pop3 setup since it caused the least amount issues but you still need the client on your computer in any event but emoze works out great for me using it that way.....if you wondering I am already using push email for my personal....so it works out in the end for me........

Why do you have to have it sent from your computer? Technically then you would be "pulling" with outlook then "pushing" to your phone. You may wantto look into some of the shared exchange sites out there like 123together.com

I don't know much about this but I suppose if you really need it to come from your computer you could invest in the exchange software.
