Email ringer not working properly?

I have the same ring setup for my text msgs as I do for new email msgs. For some reason the email ringer will go off for approx. 1-2 sec. then it cuts off, yet the text ringer goes straight through. Any clues? I don'talways hear when new mail arrives because if it's the least bit noisy where I am it's so short you can't hear it. Thanks.

It's a program you can find HERE, it's free.

This utility will allow you to edit your PPCs registry where you can change the string above.

Just be sure to backup before editing anything just in case.

Don't make a brick out of your phone. If you're not comfortable making changes than I suggest not doing it. If you must mess with the directories then by all means make a backup!

For some reason I can't install Registry Editor on my 700wx using ActiveSinc MSI. It istalls cabs on my PC then opens ActiveSync add/remove programs window but makes no attempt to install them on the device. Any help?

I don't understand much if your post, but if there's a CAB file on your device just run it from the device itself and it should install the app.

I found answer on other site. Registry Editor installer installs a number of CAB files on your PC only. They are for different devices. And in case of Treo 700wx, ActiveSync does not install anythinng on the device.

So you just need to copy file "regedit.Mrln_ARM.CAB" to any directory on your device using Browse in ActiveSync or windows explorer. Then find it using file explorer on your Treo and click on it to install.

I am new to Treao and PPC (2 days old). So I hope it will be useful to other new people.
