Call Waiting
 

I was just on the phone with someone who exists in my contacts. I then received a 'call waiting' call and the phone said it was the same person that I was on the phone with, even though it wasn't. :-k Anyone ever have this happen on their 700wx (or w) and know how to fix it?

It only seems to happen if I received the first call prior to the call waiting call.

that sounds strange. how long after you receive the call does it take for this call waiting issue to happen?

I have read about it, and then some other users not showing a caller ID with call waiting... but have never experienced this myself.

Well, it seems to only happen on occasion. I was on the phone for about an hour or hour and a half before getting the 2nd call from another friend. It's just weird that it shows up as the same person I'm talking to, even though it's not. Maybe I'll contact Palm, though I won't hold my breath.

I have this happen sometimes and I've only noticed it happening when I've been on the phone for a long period (at least an hour or so).

if you check your call log it will say the real person who was calling you... maybe that'll help a little. But I haven't heard of any fix for this.

Call waiting can be weird on this phone in general. I've had it display the name of the person I'm talking to, I've had it show my own number, and I've had the call waiting tone with no display at all of a new incoming call. But it doesn't happen all that often.

i've had the same problem. It just happened right now.

see how i thought it was just me...every time i get a call while on another call the display never comes up but i hear a tone and nothing is listed in the call log as a missed call...
