EVDO, Not Here

Does anyone know how I can find out when EVDO will be available in my area? I've asked customer care at Sprint and nobody there knows when it will be available in my area. I'm in Abilene, TX
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I can't wait to start using MobiTV without it having to be connected to my laptop to use!

It's not exactly what you want but http://evdomaps.com/ is a user-based EVDO tracking map.
