Question regarding PCS Connection Manager

I was wondering if anyone knows how to download the Sprint PCS Connection Manager for Windows ME? The disc that came with my TREO 700wx isn't compatible with Windows ME. I did find a compatible version on the Sprint website and was able to download it. The problem I am encountering now is that the computer doesn't recognize my treo when I connect via USB, probably because the Connection Manager is an older version and the phone is so new.

Now, I'm sure most of you are thinking "Just upgrade your system". But the computer I want to download to is a backup and I only use it occasionally. This has become a challenge for me and I really wanna figure out how to make it work.

I think what I need are the drivers for the 700wx. Anybody know how I can get those without using the disk? I opened the Connection Manager folder on my other comptuer and dowloaded some of the smaller files onto a 3 1/2 inch floppy and tried to download those on the other computer, but it said I was missing another file. I'm no computer scientist so I don't know what the computer wants!!! Anyway, if anybody out there has a solution, please respond. Thanks.

Do you mean Activesync by any chance? I don't think the disc that comes with wx has anything called PCS Connection Manager.

Also, from the description you are talking about I think you mean Activesync. If that's the case you can find the newer version on Microsoft's website.

What exactly do you want to do? Sync the wx with your PC?

What I would like to do is use my treo as a modem. I installed the software on my other computer and it works fine. Will installing active sync help the computer recognize the treo?
