Treo doesn't allow calls to come through while surfing!

Hey folks,

I've been dealing with sprint for the past few days and haven't gotten a straight answer about this issue (some reps say its impossible, others say it will work but my phone is broken).
When connected to the net, is the 700wx able to end the connection and allow a call to come through?
Mine does not (and if it is truly broken, sprint tells me that even though it's been broken since I got it, they will not send me a new one or even do a waranty exchange....help here...love to hear your ideas to battle this!)

There is an option in phone prefs that says:
"Do not allow a oice call to interupt my data session"
Mine, of course is unchecked but I still can't receive calls while surfing, getting weatherpanel updates, push mail, etc. My callers tell me that it never rings and just goes to VM.

I know I can count of my ppcgeeks brothers....and well....I guess a few sisters to help me out on this one.

I have it set up so a call can interrupt me because I don't like to miss calls. And it works, I could be browsing in PIE and then a phone call comes in stopping the loading process of the site.

I Agree with Pibe. Never had an issue.

Late,

If your NOT in a EVDO area as myself, it will NOT interupt the data session on in EVDO areas. You are in a EVDO coverage area correct? If not then this is ur problem.
~Mike

Edit if ur in huntington, wv as ur profile says ur not in an evdo area thus that being ur problem.

I only have the 700w, but it did interrupt my internet for phone calls. Just this past weekend though, my broadband radio is getting stuck in the on position, and most of my calls are getting pushed to VM (That is the way the Verizon CS rep worded it). They are sending me a replacement because of that.

So....to make this actually answer your question (sorry).....on the 700w, it DOES work (interrupt internet for phone).

Same Problem

I have the same issue and am not in an EVDO area. So that explains it. Good info to know.

I know I am in an EVDO area when it happens, it is a hardware malfunction on my part. Sometimes I can see and hear one or two rings and caller ID, but when I his answer nothing happens, and the calls get booted to VM.

OK

Well its seems that my question is answered. My phone only shows 1x when connected to the net. I guess now all I need to do is hope and pray for Sprint to upgrade the system in my area....who know's how long that will be!
