Gmail problem?

i had it working using the settings above... but since my dad has an exchange server thru his work, i just roll push mail now!!!

heres the stuff i used to set it up

1. make sure in ur gmail account u have POP activated
2. then u can follow these instructions to get all the settings correct

I had the same problem with my Optimum Online email.

try using smtp.sprintpcs.com for your outgoing mail server. Then go to options and select OUTGOING MAIL REQUIRES AUTHENTICATION... and USE SEPARATE SETTINGS (use your Sprint PCS user name (before the @ symbol in your pcs mail address) and your PCS password.

leave the "Require SSL for outgoing mail" box UNchecked

try again with sending yourself a test email.

I got this info from my ISP reguarding pOutlook and it works flawlessly.

Still nothing. This is insanely frustrating, nothing seems to do the trick. What should it say under domain name?
