Info transfer

I haven't been able to sync my verizon wx for about 5 months now and finally convinced verizon to send me out a new phone. My question is how do I go about getting all my contacts, calander, tasks.....over to the new phone? Are there certain files I can drop on my sd card? thx

Re: Info transfer

Did you ever do a backup of your device with SPB, Sprite, or another app? That would be the easiest way, even if it is just PIM data. Other than that, you should be able to sync your contacts, calendar, and data to your new device from your PC.

Re: Info transfer

Sorry I should have been more specific. I need to find a way to get the calendar and contacts off my "old" phone and on to my "new" phone; the problem being that my old phone won't sync with my pc. I was hoping that there was a file I could grab off the old phone that would pull the calendar info, and one for the contacts

Re: Info transfer

OK...do you have a backup app? If so, do a custom backup, and chose the contacts, calendar option (PIM). This will create a file you can run on your new device.

If you don't have one, let me know, I can direct you to a free PIM backup app.

Re: Info transfer

I found the info on his site: http://www.dotfred.net/

the EXE is not an instalation (PC) type of EXE...you place the EXE in your PPC, and run it by just clicking on it....no instalation!!! Here is what seems to be a more current version though (or maybe just titled different...whichever....here it is)..
