MID ringtones no longer work on my 700w...please help!!!!

My default ringtones no longer work on my 700w. I have installed other ringtones that work fine (Type WAV, WMS, QCP and MP3). Anything Type MID that original came with the phone does not work. I also noticed under Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Manage that the default Ring Tone name has changed with the addition of .mid. In otherwords Alarm Flute now reads Alarm Flute.mid.

I performed a Hard reset and restore and nothing changed. I will perform a hard reset and check the ringtones before the restore next.

Has anyone experienced this problem and if so I need your help.

you play with the registry? If not maybe this happened after a recent install? Look at the actually file and see if they will play in wmp.

I do not beleive I did anything in regards to ringtones. When I go into Resco FE>My Tones and try to play any of these files it directs me to the Manage tab under sounds & notifications....plays no sound. Can you tell me where to go to see if my registry settings are correct.
