Screen Issues - How to make PPC stuff work on the Treo 700?
Okay so i have a shit load of software for the HP Pocket PC. Stuff works AMAZINGLY on the HP. I got the Treo 700wx so i could make all that software work on my phone too but seems like it's not very easy.
For example, i installed Monopoly on it and the keys are off. In order to press "Cancel" i have to click about an inch underneath it and then it works. In other words the screen doesn't calibrate properly. Anyway to fix that?? Or is there anyway around it? Thank you for all your help in advance. You guys are a HUGE help to newbies like me!! |
New Guy, I don't know, but I heard that most games does not works well... you can try to contact developers to know more wich is or isn't.
Maybe, a newer version of this software would work well. I have 30 softs that I had at my Qtek 9100 working well on 700WX, only 2 of those did not, [ ]'s |
Bleony
Which ones did work??? Can u post a few?? Instead of me trying to install everything i got and then not have it work... Thanks |
For programs to work on the Treos the program has to be compatable with the 240 x 240 square screen. The program manufacturer should have a list of approved devices available.

A lot of games don't work with the 240x240 screen. In the future they will as HP WM-based phones and Treo's become more popular.
PDA Phone Home has a fairly extensive but pretty out of date list of software compatible with 240x240. http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/treo-...5-16-06-a.html |
handmark has a new 240x240 updated version of Monopoly. I play it way too much. You have to make adjustments to not having a larger screen. You have to use the menu structure a lot more, but its still very nice!!

Thanks guys....
But that means i need to "re purchase" Monopoly??? Shitty! |
basiclly you cant(at least to my knowledge) adjust the screen size. you either need to pay up or have a way to get the updated program. since you paid for the program, the developer might give you a discount on it or something else
