Question WMDC Misery

Greetings Geeks-

I've had my 700WX for about 3 months now and have yet to be able to sync it w/ my laptop which is running Vista Home Premium. If I had a dollar for each time I installed/uninstalled WMDC, I could retire. I've tried installing w/the device attached and without. Makes no difference. If I'm lucky, a small window will open telling me that I'm connected, but the WMDC main window does not open. Of interest is that the Windows Mobile Remote Adapter will appear under Network Adapters in Device Manager when the Treo is connected, but disappears when disconnected. I am also having at least one"Unknown Device" loading under Other Devices. I'm completely out of ideas . I'm nearly at the point of replacing Vista w/ XP just so I can use ActiveSync, which I know will work ( I tested it on an XP machine).

Anyone have ANY clues???

Thanks much

Hmm. I'm not sure. I'm using Vista Home Premium and everything works ok. Maybe it's your laptop. Can you try it on another Vista machine?

Unfortunately, that's not an option as the other two machines @ home are XP boxes.
