Treo will not connect to sprint data

hi all i am new posting on the forum, but an avid viewer....


i got a new 700wx and it will not connect to the sprint data network...

when it tries to connect all i get is "no modem at above number...."

sprint has been useless to help me, can anyone give me some insight on what to do?

Do you have a vision pack associated to your plan? there are a few steps to activate it on a new phone...

yea i have unlimited data...i have tried just about everything from reseting the PRI ...doing hard reset after hard reset....updateing profiles...changeing passwords ......i am stuck on his one....

Hard resetting should have restored ALL settings to factory defaults (e.g., the settings it had when you first got it home and took it out of the box).

Here's something to try:
Go to settings and open up connections. Tap on "manage existing connections". Under the "Modem" tab your set up should show the Power Vision radio button checked and under number have "#777".

Tap on "edit". The fix box should read "Power Vision". The next box should read "Cellular Line".

Tap on "next" and confirm that the dialing number is #777.

Tap on "next" and confirm your user name. If it's not listed or you're not sure what it is you can log onto the Sprint website and get it. But it should be something like xxxxx@sprintpcs.com.

Tap finish and exit it out of the connection menu all together.

Can you make and receive calls ok? Can you send and receive texts?

yea phone calls are fine all my sms come through no problem...i just done know what else to do..

Hope you worked that out.

When you change the phone but keep the same number, you have to go to a couple of steps to reconfigure the power vision service, like..dial ###[some code number], etc., it happened to me once;

Call the CS from another phone and ask for a technical rep., they will guide you;
