picture mail, pda newbie
can anyone tell me if the 700wx on the sprint network will send pictures to another carrier's cellphone. I see some posts on this, and have tryed to install programs, but I don't understand. I am not very computer skilled and often don't understand the simple terminology used the posts I have read on this site and sprintusers.com.

ugh oh u may have issues and not like the device if ur not "computer skilled" cuz thats what you got a mini computer. But yes u can do picture mail, but u do have to install the .cab in the sticky at the top of the treo 700 forum.

I agree with Wideawake...the 700wx may a bit too much. If you're looking for simple phone functions and some browsing ability you might be better off with another phone. If, on the other hand, you're willing to read, listen, and learn...then this could be the best phone/pda for you. Good luck and if you keep it, please do keep checking in here frequently and don't be afraid to ask questions. It's silly to have spent mad scratch for a brick.

I have 700wx and Sprint Vision plan, and I am about to install Picture mail cab file. Would sprint charge extra for sending picture mail? and do i use POutlook to sent Picture mail?

Oh Wide.. that's bad.. I just have Sprint Vision Plus Pack ($15). So Sprint will charge me 0.15 cents for each Picture mail send and received (correct)?

if that's how much it costs then it would be .15 sent (mms) and what .05 or .10 to receive (text).

We've been with Sprint for about 6 years and went one month recently with some crappy text plan (thanks to Sprint), and let me tell...overages on texting add up hella quick. So definitely get on a plan if you intend to use mms, texting, etc.
