It works and is nice for heavy apps.

To be honest I haven't done a side by side in battery life, though I doubt it will save battery life.

That's b/c our processors already auto-scale, so this doesn't gain you anything.

You can run it at the 400-ish mhz setting with no problems and can hit 500-ish, though you may lock up at that one.

It's nice software, the developer is a good guy. Other than that, haven't had much need for it since the system seems so zippy already. Not very interested is using more battery life though.

So you can overclock with this? You run 400 with out doing any damage?

yeah, it's fine.

it's very hard to damage a processor by over-clocking on a ppc.

I tried the trial

I dowloaded the trial. I am using a 700w and running it at 520MHz and it's running really smooth. I have a lot of items on my Today screen and that trasitional refresh from another app, to the Today screen was lightning fast. Also, the busy 4-color wheel doesn't stay on my screen for more than a second or two - whereas before xcpu scalar would always come up for typically 5 seconds or more. I may purchase it...
