Removing Wireless Sync icon

I've searched for this and was surprised not to find anything. I'm trying to optimize my today screen and there is a whole line taken up by nothing but a wireless sync icon at the bottom right.

Is there a way to get rid of it?

I thought for sure I'd find something by now. Hidelogo works great... I'm using TodayAdgenda and was thinking about trying PhoneAlarm light... perhaps this will fix the issue?

Also, is there a way to shrink the two menu buttons (softkeys) at the bottom of the screen?

Thanks,... this phone is great... Hats off to all the development activities... Verizon Wireless 700wx

OK, I installed Phone Alarm and it didn't help out with the Wireless Sync icon like I'd hoped... Is this line at the bottom the 'system tray'? After I installed the redial program it showed up there so that's what I thought, but I still haven't found a way to remove it. Anyone?
Thanks,
Jon
