Is the talk and end button in the phone app really needed?

Just as the title states....is the talk and end button really needed? And I see palm also removed the hold on the call status and replaced it with the talk button also. Just wondering yalls opinions because you can change that.

considering I have my phone screen "blank" (turn off) with every phone call (incoming and outgoing; saves battery life on those long calls), I have no idea what's on my screen so I have no strong opinion about this at all.

I voted yes, because of redial and quick access to call log. It's different on a treo, the buttons have more function. And you need an END button, what if you hang up when the other party gets a call waiting? You'll stay connected fqrever! Also the basic call-waiting functions, I don't want to have to take the phone away from my ear to look for the SWAP option on the screen....

I find this alittle confusing myself....maybe its just me.

BigD what Im saying is that you could try the apaches dialer on ur treo urself. Check these screens shots below. These are taken on my apache. The first ones are the standard apache dialer, the below is the treos dialer on the apache. Note the differences in carrier name size, phone number while being dialed is in a different place, and the buttons as stated in the first post.

I've had the treo for a total of 7 months now (w,wx) and have maybe seen that dialpad twice!

lol, agreed.

I never see it either. It's very strange from other WM5 devices where you always would see the dial pad.

This is all we see now
