SD cards....is it just me or......

I have gone through 4 SD cards in my WX in a little over 1/2 year!! I can't believe I could have purchased that many faulty cards by chance!! Has anyone else noticed a short life-span of SD cards with the WX? I just switched out a new card for one that the phone could read from, but not all the time, it was funny...I could not use any app installed on it, but I could access CAB files, or other files via the file explorer.

So.....is it just me guys???

I've had mine for around 8 months and haven't had an issue with it. Not to mention that it's just a generic 2 gig card..

I've gone through 2 regular 4gb sd cards & 2 2gb sd cards....I use my cards very heavily...always transferring files to & from constantly...This was in the span of about 1 1/2 years.

I called Palm support last night, and they did tell me they have not heard of that problem before, but they logged it down to try and keep track of other people calling in with the same issue. (for what that is worth).

The strange thing last night was when I thought the card finally crapped the bed I started to sync, intending to see what condition the card was actually in, I noticed two strange things: 1- on the phones file explorer, there are TWO Program Files folders, and on the PC only one!!
2- on the PC and WX, there was only one app file in the Program Files folder, so I copied all the others from my backup file on the PC to the card again, and things seem fine now!!!!

Does that trigger any thoughts or ideas from anyone?

lol,

no problems here mate,...

if you'd buy from specific brands,

I'm sure you wouldn't have that problem as some manufactures provide up to 5 years of warranty

I just purchased a replacement Sandisk card, but the latest to go south on me is a Poloroid made by PNY....doesn't get much more name brand than that!!! Oh well, cards aren't that expensive anymore ($20 for the 2GB Sandisk), I will just keep one backed up around just in case!!!
