New update to webOS?
 

Now that we all know of the pixie's release date and price..Does this mean we should be expecting an update to include the things the pixie is supposed to be released with(facebook app,yahoo im) and I assume more.

I wouldn't be surprised if eventually the Pixie and the Pre are both running on the same OS. There's a work-around for Yahoo right now and if you use x.facebook.com it's a good subsitute for the full-on PC site.

lite.facebook.com is working too.... I like it better because it feels more like the real facebook without all the crap.

I keep hearing rumors that an update to fix some of the app limit issues is due very soon. Also at some point reportedly in November an update is due that will bring the Europeans up to date with the US. It may just be a 1.2.1 update, not sure. And then there's supposedly another update with yahoo IM and whatever was shown on the Pixi.

Unofficially the WebOS on the Pre and the Pixi will eventually be the same. Doesn't make sense to have a different version of an OS on a different device. Suspicion is that Palm will release an update prior to the Pixi launch.
