App catalog isn't unavaible for me... No paid apps yet... But it is there, working and it is restructured.

I was having that issue after I updated but the app catalog started working again a few hours later. I have a feeling that Palm's servers were getting hammered by the update.

Im loving this update.. my pre is definitely quicker and runs smoother, much less lag
