is there a way to copy text from a sms message i get and paste it into calendar event? thanx

No.

Or at least "not yet" the Copy/Paste function is severely limited (near to the point of being useless) in that you can only Cut/copy/paste from editable fields. Meaning if you TYPED that message then you can paste it into another place where you can type. Useless. Perhaps this will be a fix coming soon.

EDIT: There is now. You can forward/copy and paste texts.
