New Extended Battery for Palm Pre

Has anyone ordered this new extended battery? Do you recommend getting it? I dont mind the added bulk but I wanna wait until they get a touchstone backing that will work...

I saw that, but I figured I'd wait as well, otherwise the $70 I spent on the Touchstone would be a waste of money. I'm thinking that perhaps I would go with the 1350 mah battery Seidio has in the meantime.

I heard that the Palm pre has a smart battery or something like that... I know that an older phone's battery will fit the pre but palm doesn't recommend it... will this seidio battery be something that palm approves?

I did a 350 mile trip yesterday and the pre was fully charged. When I got home last night it was down to 40% on the battery. I only made a couple of calls plus it was checking on e-mails every 15 minutes. So I take it it was spending a lot of juice searching for signal along the way, thus I ordered the Seidio battery last night as 60% loss in 1 day is not going to cut the mustard. The touchstone will just have to sit on the shelf for now.

Yes the 1350 stocker that is why I am switching up if it uses that much juice when I have Bluetooth and wifi off.

If you're talking about the stock Palm battery that'd be 1150mAh.

I've heard that the stock Palm battery uses really cheap cells. I'm curious if that affects not only capacity but discharge rate as well. There have been some folks whom moved to this battery with some pretty dramatic improvements that one wouldn't expect from a 250mAh increase:
