Cant Update to WebOs 1.04
 

I've tried on several occasions to Dl the new update and it continues to say
"The Update failed to properly validate"

I do have some non root home brews on my phone so Im wondering if that has anything to do with it. The only thing I hav is "Pimp my sound" Could this be affecting my update? If so has anyone figured a way to fix it or do I have to delete the program before I update?

ive never heard of a pre update not going thru, and im our store advocate...so im guessing it could probably have something to do with those homebrew apps. have u tried reseting the phone? is your palm profile validated?

make sure your phone recognizes that your palm profile is validated. when 1.03 came out i couldn't get the update. that was the cause. i had to do a partial reset on the device.

My profile is vaild and I had the 1.03 upgrade with no problem. I partial reset? I've shut it down and reset it but that didnt clear it. I really didnt want to do a complete reset of the phone and loose everything b ut I might have to.
