Offically, Palm lists no changes to anything that would affect battery life with the 1.03 update, unless it is something that is covered under "miscellaneous changes" in the changelog, which is unlikely. All the comments about battery life are based on people's observations.

Typically after any official update to a phone you will see comments like, "my battery life is better", "the phone seems faster" etc... regardless of whether it is true.

You might want to check your location settings, etc, to make sure they are all set the way you had them prior to updating.

Re: webOS 1.0.3 update!!

I will say I still feel my device is a little faster but I did not see any improvement in battery life. I took my Pre in yesterday to the Sprint store because I had a white spot, not a dead pixel, and they said there was nothing wrong with it but I was told at they updated the software on it. I told them that I had alreaday updated to 1.0.3 and was not aware of another update. The tech said it was for use with the Touchstone. I didn't notice anything different other than the spot they couldn't find was gone. I think they were just feeding me a line to pacify me. Anyone heard of this?

Re: webOS 1.0.3 update!!

I had a white spot in the upper left corner. The spot actually continued a little fainter all the way down the side of the screen (almost like an oily line). The one CS claimed she couldn't see it so I complained to a manager. It took a few days for them to get another in stock but they exchanged. No issues with the new one.
