Is this allowed?
I just recent added a 3rd line to my account for my mom on my family plan. At the time I had an old m520 sitting in a box so I opted to use that instead of using my $150 credit for a new phone. I saw that the new Pre came out so I used my credit and got the phone for $199 moving the number from the m520 to the new Pre. I then signed a 2 year deal on that line. Now that I'm locked in can I now flip numbers between 2 esns? What I want to do is move my wife's number on to the Pre and move my mom's number on to my wifes Rant. Is this allowed since I did sign the 2 year deal on the Pre? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Re: Is this allowed?
yes, this is allowed. you should have no problems at all doing it.

Re: Is this allowed?
Do it all the time. Call customer care and tell them what you want to do. Basically an ESN change. You can do it your self on sprint.com providing you have a dummy esn or an esn from an old handset...

Re: Is this allowed?
That's how I got my first Treo 700, I got a line for my mother in law, i went home I call *2 and swapped phones... Now you don't need to call, you can do it online.

Re: Is this allowed?
I asked in the store and they told me to wait 30days before doing or they would charge me full price for the Pre

Re: Is this allowed?
The stores always gave me the warning about 30 days too when I asked to do this. They told me it would affect the mail in rebate though not the rest of the discount.

Re: Is this allowed?
Not waiting 30 days does indeed affect your mail in rebate...I know this from experience.

Re: Is this allowed?
You can do the swap now, but wait three weeks then call CS, tell them you never received your rebate, and they will credit the account. i do it all the time for my customers (and my personal account). i WILL find a way to sell a phone lol
