Chargers and docks are probably fine, but I'd stay away from the cheap batteries -- especially the ones from overseas.

Case in point: Friend of mine bought a 1600mAh battery for his phone (not a Pre) on eBay from a Hong Kong retailer. He had it for a couple of weeks and it went bad and bulged out.

Since it broke open the battery casing when it bulged, he took it apart to possibly see what went wrong with it. The outside said it was a 1600mAh, but inside was a 750mAh battery. He emailed the retailer, telling him what he found, and the guy just said, "I'll refund your money".

I'm not saying everything you buy from overseas retailers is going to be like that, but if it's too cheap to be true, it probably is.

I got my extra battery from Seidio. I also have 2 touchstones. I thought they were docks before I bought. I think they will give some type of update that will allow USB charging at some point.

Unfortunately I don't think this will be possible since the USB does not provide enough power output to support the Touchstone. Don't know if USB 3 will push out enough juice either.

Stay away from anything that is outside of USA when when it comes to ebay. Most of time you will loose money and wont get good product.

Check out my youtube video of the extended life bettery I purchased.
The only thing I miss about my TP was the phone as a modem and the ablilty to edit ms documents.

i use the mobile hotspot app from the verizon pre personally
