If that's what they need to do in order to stay afloat then so be it. Better to let people go than drag everyone under!

Not only will we have to get our phones replaced by someone who can barely speak English (overseas); but we'll now have to but our phones and renew our contracts with them too?

Its funny how they are letting people go but they are also investing over 1 billion into clearwire for the Wimax 4g stuff. It doesnt make sense. It seems like how is a company have this much available and put so much forward but still let people go.

Sprint had to let people go to pay that 1b. If Clearwire fails then so does Sprint. It just sucks it had to come at other peoples expense.

Re: Sprint to slash up to 2,500 jobs

I like Sprint as a cell service I have never had an issues with the phone service. Customer service is another issue whenever there is a problem it is almost impossible to fix or they cannot speak english and dont understand a word you are saying. And they have by far the cheapest and best plans out there. Too many people get mad because they are taking away there SERO plans. I can see from Sprints stand point too many people took advantage of the SERO plans. Its a good plan for employees and ex employees but when people ***** about not being able to get a certain phone on the plan dont complain you are getting a phone plan way below the industry average. Be happy with what you get. If clearwire fails then I think Sprint might not do too well also. Look at ATT they have the most expensive plans and worst service out there but are doing ok just because of one phone the iphone. Hopefully the Android based phones for Sprint will help them out. I have been with Sprint for over 13 years now and paying about $30 dollars less a month than the competions comparable plans. And Im not on SERO anymore either.

I noticed the exact same thing.

Google even backed out of financial dealings with Clearwire. They opted to provide planning instead.
