At 11:30 i called sprint telesales and they told me that the Touch Pro2 would be available in 30 minutes. I was in doubt, so i hung up and called back after 12 and she told me that it is available but their system isnt updated yet and it would take a few hours.

I dont want to start another speculation thread, so if this found not to be true by morning, mods please delete.

phone rep told me today as with several people and someone on sprintusers.com said they told him tomorrow and delivers by saturday

yep, telesales gave me the same spill - she will call me later TODAY when its available. However, I called back because the girl I talked with sounded pretty lame and the guy informed me that they had a sales meeting yesterday and it will be available In-Store today! I am patiently waiting until they open and 10:00am and will give you guys an update...ah the anticipation...

side note: the guy I spoke with was also saying something about a Sept. 13 release date lol..I told him that was garbage because of the Sprint press release...I dont know who to believe but im sure calling every store in area when they open until im satisfied ...not to mention I'll prob call telesales on the hour every hour lol

I called 3 Sprint stores and they confirmed my suspicions that it would not be available in-store until "sometime" after the 8th...should have known better than to listen to telesales...

UPDATE: Just ordered the TP2 from telesales with overnight shipping! Price was $599.99 retail - $150.00 upgrade credit then a $100 mail in rebate, cant wait to get rid of my TP1!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!

Man, Verizon and AT&T are real pains. I even tried to cope with my loss by talking to a live chat (Unintelligent they are IMHO) and there is no projection date for the Verizon TP2

That, I'm doubting. They will see Sprint's release as hostility because of the CDMA market, if that were the original plan, then I bet its changing.

They do not respond to the competition because of their arrogance, I have seen the Whitestone and it is running 6.5...who knows what they will do.
