Are there any capaactive Winmo devices?

These resistive screens are damn annoying.. any capacitive screens on any devices now or in the near future .. preferably cdma? If I could just load Mightyrom on an Iphone I'd be happy.

Re: Are there any capaactive Winmo devices?

i think apple holds a patent on some technology behind it and is holding up any winmo phones from having it. i don't know, that's what i've heard. probably true.

Re: Are there any capaactive Winmo devices?

Windows Mobile currently doesn't support it. Supposedly WM 7 will have it.

I think Apple holds patents on certain multifinger navigation methods they use the iph*ne, but not the capacitive touch screen itself. The Pre uses a capacitive screen.

Re: Are there any capaactive Winmo devices?

the way current WM (6.1, 6.5) expects hi-res pointing and selection, a capacitive screen wouldn't work very well -- much of the API requires a stylus (or fingernail), e.g. hi spatial res, which capacitive screens aren't good at... plus the expectation of being able to do handwriting recog., drawing notes, Jot, etc...

pretty much requires a complete makeover of all WM apps...
