I like the D-pad, much better to handle than the tiny joystick.

The camera is probably in the back (like the current 6700), might be for Revision A compatiablity, but not for video calling.

Hmmm... I'm not getting the images that go with the article. Where they removed?

EDIT: I see it now. It took about 100 refreshes to get them to show. :P

I like it. It looks slightly larger but thinner than the 6700, which is good. A pivot cam would be nice but I'd be surprised to see that on any more smartphones anytime soon. I definately agree about the arrow pad.

Is it me or does it seem like the keypad comes out from the opposite side of the current 6700?

yes it seems like it does, and also it seems that the buttons on the keyboard are have a convexed shape to them. probably better feel.

Good catch mojo. Personally I like the orientation of the pull out keyboard on the 6700.

As far as details:

There are none. HTC/UTS said nothing of what's powering it, VGA, camera or anything except that it's RevA.

Is it coming to Sprint? Probably...

FWIW re: the 6800 and the smt-5800 (smartphone):

Quote:
PCS Intel can independently confirm both devices have been finalized and are in-testing at both Verizon Wireless and Sprint.
So closer than you think!

It looks like they listened to the complaints though. That Dpad looks soo much nicer.

I'll be envious when it comes out!

From a bit of searching, it appears to be the Sprint version of the Cingular 8525 (I think that was the model number.) Seems they went back to the 6600's styling, but with 6700 updates. I wonder if it will include WiFi? Ya know, there was once this laptop looking hone that did the whole tablet pc swivel thing...it was black and called "something-9800" or whatever... if anyone knows what I am talking about, what was it called? I would love to know if that has a successor that may make it to Sprint.
