Sprint HTC Touch HD - non Pro?

Howdy,

Thanks for the post - any word on if they will have a non keyboard edition?

I'd like something like my current Touch (I had the Diamond but returned it because the battery life was dreadful).

I'd love for them to make a slimmer (non keyboard) edition like the Touch HD but put the flash on it as I REALLY miss the flashlight function on my mogul.

Does anybody have a guess as to what the W, C or other connotations mean? What about Jasper (2nd ID for Sprint) what is ID?

I can confirm the Sapphire picture is real, can't say anything for the rest just yet.

Nice leak. I ran across this at BGR of all places. I have no doubt that HTC can bring the hardware but I am much more interested in seeing what kind of software they will be running. As nice as these look there is no way I am buying another WM6.1 phone what with 6.5 and 7 on the way. If they can demo something in Barcelona next month that is running a worthy new version of WM then I am gonna have some serious choices to make this summer/fall when I am in the market for a new phone.

The C usually mean CDMA devices. They did this with the Diamond (Sprint version was called Diamond C) and with Touch Pro (Sprint version was called Raphael C).

I would be guessing that the W might mean WCDMA, but given the Models it is on, that doesn't make sense. It might mean WVGA? That seems more likely.

Awesome stuff bro thanks! I can't wait to check out Jaspar & Tungsten. 2009 will be a good year on Sprint lol.
