Re: Omnia, competition for iPhone from Samsung

Actually it was approved by the FCC and goes to AT&T and is called the SGH-i907 by FCC and Omnia for AT&T.

Re: Omnia, competition for iPhone from Samsung

I wonder if the apps can be extracted...the home screen, keyboard as well as a few other odds and ends for homescreen make this look like a great device

Re: Omnia, competition for iPhone from Samsung

I had my heart set on this device, but the low resolution may be a deal breaker for me. After playing with the Diamond, the difference is huge.

Re: Omnia, competition for iPhone from Samsung

I would like to see pics of them both to see the difference. I like the 5MP camera and HTC still has poor quality cameras I have read. I like the 16GB of internal memory and the microSD slot to add more if needed.

Here is a post from XDA.

"Go for the Omnia. If you look at the videos from youtube, the omnia opens apps REALLY FAST. It may not be as responsive as we should want, probably due to the screen, but the processor speed makes up for it. Not to mention the 16 GB storage and micro SD slot. It has XVID and DIVX support out of the box, so you know it will definitely perform well with videos. The 5 MP camera also s a huge plus."
