Verizons Official Answer To XV6900 "touch" WM6.1 Update
Just thought i would post this i emailed verizon and the is what they told me.
Thank you for contacting our Verizon Wireless website. We are happy to assist you with your Windows Mobile question. Verizon Wireless is committed to providing the very latest in products and services. At this time, Verizon Wireless is still testing the Windows Mobile 6.1 update for compatibility with Verizon Wireless services e.g. Wireless Sync, VZAppZone etc. We are unable to state if or when Windows Mobile 6.1 will be offered for the Verizon Wireless XV6900. We understand and apologize for any frustration regarding this but we are only able to provide information regarding products or services that we are currently offering. We are unable to disclose any unconfirmed information because it would be subject to change and could raise expectations that may not be met.

Could it really be true? WM 6.1 update available for xv6900??

Seems good. WM6.1, CE OS 5.2.19212(Build 19212.1.0.3). Rev A, VZNavigator 4.1.1(dl from start.vzw.com), Opera mobile 8.65(3071) and ArcSoft MMS 5.0.70.24. Not too bad for those who want an oem vzw wm6.1 rom. Well thats that, back to my custom rom...

So you installed it and it looks good? Awesome. I'll see if I can figure out how to upgrade it tonight. :P

Yeah, it is good, and quick for a oem rom. Also no issues going back to my custom rom after either. To update just make sure the phone is synced with your pc(xp or vista is fine, i use vista). Whiled synced just run the exe and follow the prompts. The flash seemed like it took a long time to start, just be patient. It did take almost 10 mins. After the upgrade is complete resync your info, and also perform an ota update, dial *228 option 1.
